We may update this Privacy Policy from time-to-time in our sole discretion and you acknowledge that you are bound by such changes. We informally document changes in the Changelog at the end of this Privacy Policy for your reference, but it is your responsibility to review the Privacy Policy in full for any changes each time that you use the Website.

USE OF THE SERVICES BY YOU CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIVACY POLICY, INCLUDING ALL CHANGES HERETO. This Privacy Policy is part of Dorot’s Terms of Use, and all other terms regarding the use of our Services.

The official language of this Privacy Policy is the English language except as required by local law. Any translations of the Policy will be for reference purposes only. The terms of the Policy in the English language will prevail over any terms of any translations hereof in the event any dispute arises regarding any conflicting terms.

Before sharing your information with third parties, Dorot uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that each third party is under a legal obligation to maintain the confidentiality of your information and can only use your information for the limited purpose(s) for which such third party is engaged or involved.

We may also disclose aggregate visitor data in order to describe the use of the Website to our existing or potential business partners or other third-parties, or in response to a government request. We may also share aggregated demographic and preference data with third-parties to enable the provision of targeted promotions, or to improve our programs and Services.

Opt-in/Opt-out/Updates

You can unsubscribe from some transactional emails you receive from the Dorot Foundation by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the footer of an email. Note that Dorot engages third-parties to send some transactional emails, and you may need to unsubscribe from these as a separate action. You cannot, however, unsubscribe from receiving certain emails, such as account status and donation related emails.

You may delete or modify any information we have collected about you by making the appropriate on-screen selection, by sending an e-mail to marshar@dorot.org, or by writing to us at Dorot Foundation, 401 Elmgrove Ave., Providence RI 02906 United States specifying the reason for your request such as “delete” or “modify.” You understand that certain Services may no longer be available to you if you choose to cancel your registration, delete your information of opt-out of the collection and use of your information.

Data Security, Integrity, and Access

The Personal Information you provide and we collect is stored within databases that we control directly or through our Administrative Service Providers. As we deem appropriate, we use security measures consistent with industry standards, such as firewalls, to protect your Personal Information. We also use industry standard encryption technology to protect credit card and password information. However, since no security system is impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.

If we are required to provide notice of unauthorized access or other invasion of certain security systems, you agree that we (or they) may do so when required (or voluntarily) by posting notice on our website or by sending notice to any email address we have for you, in our good faith discretion. You agree that notice to you will count as notice to others for whom you are acting, and agree to pass the notice on to them.

Dorot may assign you a user ID and a password as part of your participation and access to the Services. Your user ID and password may only be used by you and the members of your household. Dorot has no control over, and makes no representations whatsoever, regarding such other websites or the products and services offered by or through websites accessed through links on the website, even those with which we may have an affiliation. If you decided to access third-party websites linked through our Services, you do so at your own risk and you should carefully review the privacy policy and terms of use of any such websites.

Minimum Age

Our Services are not meant for use by any person under the age of 18 without the supervision of a parent or guardian 18 years of age or older. Any person under the age of 18 may only use our Services under the supervision of a parent or guardian 18 years of age or older.

Online Policy

The Privacy Policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and therefore beyond Dorot’s control, and is not to be applied in any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation. This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected through our Services and not to information collected offline.
